ÒThank you, mommyÓ says Laya for seemingly no reason. ÒI really donÕt know why youÕre thanking me,Ó says Mariah. “My kids are camping with no roof over their head, and they’re still thankful.”

He was not injured but drenched. Hurricane Dorian gave a glancing blow to Cape Cod, as high tide in the early morning brought 15-20 foot waves along Nauset Light Beach.
