Williams will make his second title defense against Juan Rodriguez Jr. on Sept. 16 at Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island. Williams, 30, a former Southern Connecticut State football player, who is a truancy officer in West Haven, will take a 14-0-1 record with six knockouts into the fight. We will profile Williams, tracking his prep for the fight, the fight itself and the comedown after, and delve into his personal story, including the unsolved murder of his mother when he was in college.
